Well basically

I. Opening

At the beginning of the film, James Braddock is a very wealthy and successful boxer. Unfortunately after the great depression Braddock and his family are left poor and Braddock no longer being picked up for fights because of an injured hand, and is left begging for work everyday at the docks.

II. A Turn of Events

With the help of manager Joe Gould, Braddock is able to make a come back to boxing when the opponent of the number two contender in the world, Corn Griffin, suddenly drops out. To everyone’s surprise Braddock is victorious, and much to his wife’s dismay Braddock accepts Gould’s proposal to rebuild his career. James’ wife Mae, is angry at Gould for trying to profit out of James’ dangerous profession, until she find’s out that Gould and his wife have also been hurt by the depression.

III. Build Up

Braddock keeps winning fights and even uses some of the money he won to pay back the government for all of the unemployment checks he got, which impresses many people. In a newspaper James is nicknamed the “Cinderella Man” cause of the way he dances around the ring. Braddock starts to inspire people because he can relate to their struggle. In many ways he represents them. After many fights a title match comes his way, against Max Baer. Mae is terrified because Baer is known to have killed two men in the ring.

IV. The Big Fight

Many people from all around the neighborhood watched the fight rooting for Braddock, and even his children who weren’t allowed to watch it listen to it on the radio. During the fight Braddock was pummeled with a storm of punches. Much to Baer’s confusion Braddock kept coming back and slowly was able to wear down Baer. On June 13, 1935 by unanimous decision, James J. Braddock was given the Heavyweight title in what would be known as a historic match.

And the winner is..

i chose this scence from the movie because it was really emotional. When Braddock wins, his whole family is amazed and excited, and they start crying and freaking out. To me its the climax of the movie so i drew a picture of Braddocks final punch to Baer and him knocking him down and over the radios they announce Braddock the winner.

come on school board do i have to say it again..

i believe this topic is just like the one of the very firsts blogs we had to do about the government hiding things from us, but the way i worded it was "sugarcoating" this valuable information. I think high school students should be able to know this information about genocide. I dont see why the school board needs to hide it it happened and there is no erasing it. In my opinion, its pointlesss to deny this history probably because of violence and as a high school student ive been exploited to a lot of violence around the world and i think learning about the rape of nanking and the genocide in Rwanda can fit the maturity lcvel of high school students.

Trapped among the Rock.

I can see why the government would consider Alcatraz to be inescapable because it literally is a island surrounded by rock and i dont think anyone who could really try to escape, could. the information given on the website made it seem a not so scary place to be, as i discovered it was a public viewing spot where people can go for a visit. thats kindve creepy. figuratively speaking, i can see why the government would create Alcatraz to be a federal penitentiary because when you read information about the place, such as the climate, you get this dark, moody feeling that this area is not welcoming. if its very cold during the winter, i dont see why anyone would enjoy being their other than the hisory that has taken place there.

To be Guilty or Not to Be Guilty..

Was Sacco and Vanzetti really meant to be accused guilty of the murder scene they just happened to be around at the wrong place, wrong time? Maybe it was all just a set up? Do we have enough evidence to prove that this occurrence was truly possible? Colonel Chief Sergeant Billy Bob is on the case. After 5 trials and being accused guilty we have no reason to try and come forth with a reason why they were not guilty but just to over seek the evidence a little more than they did back then and uncover what evidence may lead Sacco and Vanzetti to be proven not guilty.
As Sacco was born in southern Italy and Vanzetti Northern Italy, they both migrated to the United States. They met in Boston at a meeting of Galleanist Anarchists, and then they flew to Mexico on their jaunt to avoid conscription. When they returned to the United States both men’s names are leaked from the newspapers that had information about them and then all citizens discovered that they are Italian anarchists. This was really bad. Then Sacco and Vanzetti are accused of being around the whereabouts’ where a bombing took place and Carlo Valdinoci was involved. Fortunately, Sacco and Vanzetti were not involved in this bombing.
Then a little by little, hell starts to set loose and the Justice Department start to round up anarchists and Sacco and Vanzetti consider returning to Italy, but doesn’t go as planned. Then they both discover one of their fellow anarchist buddy, Andrea Salsedo, had committed suicide out of guilt. Then both men agreed to meet up with Mario Boda and dispose of any evidence that caused the police department t consider searching for guilty evidence towards Andrea Salsedo, such as the stolen Buick that was at a crime scene. As Sacco and Vanzetti return home they are arrested around 10 pm as suspicious characters. And the police men automatically assume that Sacco was involved in the earlier mentioned bombing because of the shotgun shells located on him. They are sent to trial five times to be found guilty and guilty over again, and are eventually executed.
In my opinion, I don’t think they were the cause of the murder. There sure is not enough evidence to prove that Sacco and Vanzetti committed the crime just because of the stolen car and the shotgun shells Sacco had on him. Also, I believe they were just trying to find a way to execute them because they were anarchists and nobody wanted their children to e grown around people like them.

Scopes Trial: John T. Scopes, a Tennessee high school biology teacher, was arrested and charged with teaching evolution, violating the Butler Act. Schneck v. The United States: Espionage & Sedition Acts declared unconstitutional by Supreme Court

Evolution Vs. Religion

In my opinion, i think its more comfortable for teachers to be teaching evolution instead of religion because our schools are so diverse nowadays meaning people come from all over the world and have different religions. therefor, it would be unfair to teach those who have a god, going aganist their views and teaching them about another God. For example, Jesus Crist and Allah are two different Gods. It is better to be taught that Evolution has created the earth and its people, eben though half the stories are myths. it fits better for the students comfort state of mind.
